Assessment
The easiest way to get in touch with me is by email. Prior to commencing work I offer free 20 minutes telephone consultation so that you can ask me any questions and we can agree what services you would or would not like. This can be arranged by emailing me at drjikbattye@gm.
An assessment might be all you need for now, but no psychological therapy will be offered without assessment.
Assessment for therapy includes finding out about your background and family history, important life events and a more detailed understanding of the difficulties or problems that have brought you to seeking out psychological support. A shared understanding is also known as a 'formulation' and any assessment reports requested would include a paragraph called 'formulation'. Finally an assessment would include a shared goal or goals for any ongoing work.
I am also trained in completing cognitive assessments. These are assessments of cognitive abilities, or thinking skills, and focus on different areas of thinking skills.
I can also be instructed in expert witness assessments for Family Law.
