Training and Consultation
I have delivered training to staff groups in residential homes, schools and foster carers associations on a variety of topics from a wider focus to a more narrow focus. For example from adolescent mental health, to specific problems such as anxiety, attachment and play. I have also taught on the Salomons D Clin Psy training course. Training usually is a combination of didactic training, practical exercises and reflective practise.
I am specifically trained as a trainer of the NSPCC 8 Rs to Permanency (formerly the Reunification Practise Framework) which is used to help professionals make dynamic risk assessments where there are safeguarding concerns for a child.
I have a lot of experience offering consultation into schools and local authorities. I use worksheets and outcome measures to help us keep focus in consultations and discuss how the consultation space will be used.
